The Capstone Conference is a celebration of graduate student research at SNRE that incorporates thesis, practicum and master's project student presentations. Concurrent presentations are organized into themed sessions that will take place in rooms 1040 and 1028.

The Earth and Environmental Sciences department is hosting a Smith Lecture on Friday January 27, featuring Dimitrios Zekkos, U-M Civil and Environmental Engineering. He is speaking on Robot-Enabled Research Effots to Promote Resiliency and Sustainability of Geo-Systems. A reception will be held following the lecture. This lecture is free and open to the public.

Join the Erb Institute for a talk titled "Modeling the Climate Change Challenge", presented by Massimo Tavoni. Massimo is an economist and a lead author for the 5th Assessment Report of the IPCC. His research focuses on building a behaviorally rich model for assessing climate change and energy policies.
