Scavia named special counsel to the president for sustainability

In her annual State of the University address, U-M president Mary Sue Coleman announced the appointment of Donald Scavia to the position of special counsel to the president for sustainability.  Scavia, professor at SNRE and director of the Graham Environmental Sustainability Institute, will advise Coleman and others on sustainability issues and coordinate related programs on campus.  Coleman also announced the creation of the Office of Campus Sustainability in her address.
