In a interview for EarthSky, SNRE professor and Michigan Sea Grant director Jim Diana discusses sustainable aquaculture, highlighting his work showing that indoor shrimp farming techniques could avoid filtering waste into local waters and save energy with the strategic location of farms.  "If we work in terms of thinking about the future and trying to make positive returns for those people who are doing the right things... we will get big changes in how aquaculture produces species," Diana says.
