SNRE Dean Rosina M. Bierbaum is co-director of the World Development Report 2010, released today by the World Bank.  Focusing on climate change, the report urges vastly increased spending and protection of developing countries in order to cope with the risks of climate change.  "Grappling with climate shocks that are already hampering development will not be easy.  But promising new energy technologies can vastly reduce future greenhouse gas emissions and prevent catastrophic climate change," Bierbaum says.
