Great Lakes levels rebound
Traverse City Record-Eagle
Great Lakes water levels are rebounding rom the sudden decline that began in the 1990s, reflecting the natural cycles of lake levels as well as an abundance of wetter, colder weather-- though climate change still threatens to alter long-term trends. "Climate projections say the lakes will go up and down around a decreasing average. The lows will be lower than in the past and the highs will be lower than in the past," says Donald Scavia, SNRE professor and director of the Graham Environmental Sustainability Institute, in the article.
