  • Applicants must be enrolled in an accredited college or university.
  • Applicants must be students in the field of interpretation or a related field.
  • Applicants must be members of NAI through December 1, 2011.
  • Applicants must be able to attend the NAI National Workshop.
  • Previous national scholarship winners, NAI national, regional, and sectional officers, scholarship committee members, and members of their families are not eligible.
  • Applicants must demonstrate financial need.

Funding Abstract: 

The National Association for Interpretation is pleased to announce its scholarship program for college students who are studying natural, historical, and cultural interpretation or are in a closely related field with career aspirations in the field of interpretation. The goal of the scholarship program is to recognize students who have the potential to make an outstanding contribution to the field of interpretation.

Each student must be able to attend the NAI National Workshop. Students will be recognized at a scholarship breakfast as well as participate with the Workshop Committee in the Scholarship Auction.

 

 

Application Process and Required Materials: 

Application form; two letters of recommendation, one from a current professor or instructor and one from a current or past employer; a resume with three additional references; a statement of interest in interpretation and progessional goals; a statement of graduate research/project goals and importance to interpretation; statement of current membership status in the National Association for Interpretation; copy of transcript; statement of financial need.
