FEATURED STORY

SNRE master's project aims to help monks at Virginia abbey become more sustainable

Students working on a master's project will visit the Holy Cross Abbey in Berryville, Va., as early as this month to study how to make all aspects of monastic life more sustainable. The students will investigate the types of energy used in the abbey's buildings, the ways the monks such as Brother Efrain (left) make money and their methods of management for the 1,200-acre property.
