The School of Natural Resources and Environment is fortunate to receive generous gifts from many individual donors. Recent gifts have had a significant impact on the School by:

• Making possible the Gold LEED renovation of the Samuel Trask Dana Building, which is now a dynamic model of a high-performance green building;
• Endowing the Peter M. Wege Chair of Sustainable Systems, a $1.5 million gift from the Wege Foundation. With this chair, SNRE takes a leadership role in the application of life-cycle-design methodology needed to achieve a sustainable global society;
• Establishing endowed graduate student scholarships in the fields of forest ecology and landscape architecture, in honor of retired professors Burton V. Barnes and Terry J. Brown;
• Creating professional development opportunities for SNRE students, with funding from the largest Class Gift (2007) in the School's history.

The School of Natural Resources and Environment isindebted to those who so generously contribute to support of its mission and students. A number of SNRE programs and initiatives are in need of philanthropic support, including:
