E-mail Forwarding Service

Did you know that your umich e-mail address lives on after you graduate? You can set a forwarding address so that mail sent to you at umich.edu continues to reach you, and you can continue to give out your umich.edu e-mail address to your friends and colleagues. The UM Alumni Association has all the details.

University of Michigan Alumni Association

The Alumni Assocation offers many services and great networking for SNRE alumni. Recently, it rolled a free one-year memberships, normally priced at $64, for unemployed U-M alumni. The free memberships will be funded through a newly created Economic Hardship Fund.

"In this economic environment, more and more alumni are looking to us to take advantage of the alumni network, our career services and discounts," said Steve Grafton, Alumni Association president and chief executive officer. "It's the right thing to do."

The Alumni Association also unveiled a new Web page (www.umalumni.com/economicresponse) that focuses on the benefits that alumni most need now. These include job postings, career counseling, career-focused podcasts, short-term health benefits, and other savings and discounts. In addition, the site has a section highlighting ways that employed alumni can help others in the Michigan network by volunteering as career mentors and posting jobs at their companies.
